But for me it's been a total bliss to discover with him the attractive side of the city: the almost unknown tapas bars, the hidden nightclubs, the rainbow district and the beloved Almodóvar film locations or even the secrets of bullfighting if you dare. Experiencia fantástica: I had Jaime as my private tour guide for 3 days in Madrid and this is the only way I would recommend to explore and see this beautiful city. It was such an inspiring and enriching experience which made me fall in love with Madrid. Our first day began with the Prado Museum and while I am not an art connoisseur, the time in the musuem with Jaime made me appreciate all the paintings and artists he chose for the tour. It was so much more than just to enjoy the art as each painting and artists had a story, giving me a glimpse of their motiviation to create the artwork as well as their lives. This experience makes me now want to go back and learn more about the other art pieces and artists, of course with Jaime as the guide. The other 2 days we visited the Royal Palace as well as some of the neighborhods and other historical sites, allowing me not to only experience what life is like now which is something I really enjoy but also giving me an insight of the history of Madrid and Spain wihch is truly fascinating. There are so many things I didn't know and which I got to understand only because of Jaime's expertise and stories he was able to share in such an engaging way, bringing history to life. Every day Jaime choose a local restaurant for us to experience some wonderful local food which were real highlights. I feel like I came as a visitor and tourist but left as a friend. It shows that Jaime loves his city and is passionate about what he does. Thank you Jaime for the wonderful tours, you really made this a very special experience and I look forward to coming back and seeing even more of your beautiful city.
