Experiencia fantástica: This has been my third cycling holiday in Europe, each time with a different company. From my first correspondence with Daniel it was clear that his service is the best. Replied very fast to each enquiry and knew what trip would suit me the best. The extras, of the easy to use gps system, regular maps highlighted according to days, made all the difference in getting around and feeling confident and independent by myself on my journey. The fun extras like the branded bottle and energy bars were just a fun bonus. The rides were all great and beautiful, and the hotels were superb! When i thought i was at a great hotel, the next day was even better! Knowing that it is hard to get a reservation, he made one ahead at one of the hotels. An exceptional gourmet restaurant and was totally worth splurging on a meal. Daniel was available for my questions during my trip and has given outstanding service also at the end when returning the bike to him. I had an amazing trip and will definitely use his services in the future when i come back!

Experiencia fantástica: I recently did the self-guided trip as a mom and son getaway with my 14-year old. We did this on e-bikes. Daniel from Creative Catalonia was kind and thoughtful and checked in on us along the way via text. He was on time for bike delivery and super organized, setting us up for success. The hotels selected were great even though we booked last minute. Each of our rooms along the mediterranean had views of the Sea which was stunning and exceeded our expectations. My son managed the GPS and all of the navigating and we had an easy time of this. The route itself was wonderful! A great mix of medieval and coast and I wonder if the tour title should give more emphasis to the time spent along the coast, which was absolutely beautiful! I was sad to leave Llafranc and put the sea behind us, but this was quickly replaced with fascination at the beauty of the small villages. Overall, this was a wonderful adventure. The weather was superb and the towns were not crowded with tourists (late June). I do recommend the e-bikes if you have varying levels of experience and want to stray off the tour routes at all to bike uphill to other towns not on the tour route. We had more than enough time and energy to add things like this because of the benefit of the pedal-assist.

We had a great cycling experience as well as unexpected needs along the way that Daniel was very quick to respond to. This was a very professional experience and service. The bikes were high quality and gave us no issues. The hotels were fantastic, including rooms, meals, and staff. And the routes gave us a first hand look and feel for life along Costa Brava and it interior. Highly recommended.

Experiencia fantástica: We just recently completed 5 days of cycling on a trip planned by and booked through Creative Catalonia. It was great! Well planned and interesting routes, beautiful accommodations, good bikes and helmets and easy to use gps and maps. We felt independent in our adventures but very well supported. Our bags generally arrived at our next destination before we did. I really loved each of our inns. All served a wonderful breakfast and all had interesting things to see and do near by as well as delightful spaces for reading and relaxing after our ride. I had not done this type of biking holiday before but I would definitely do one again and I highly recommend Creative Catalonia if you are planning a trip in the region.

Experiencia fantástica: We thoroughly enjoyed cycling the 8 Day Best of Catalonia beginning in Ripoll, down to the coast and back up to Girona. The communication was great from the initial enquiry to the final day. The accommodation each night was varied and interesting and we loved all the towns the GPS took us to. Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: The route, the hotels, and all of the logistics were spot on. We road through amazing countryside, and marveled at the beautiful cities and towns where we stayed. We were fortunate with the weather, and so we had one of our best trips ever!

Experiencia fantástica: I guess I’ll have to add to the overwhelming number of 5 start reviews. Really a great time in Catalonia. Did the 7 day best-of trip. Beautiful and varied (climbs, coastline, beautiful towns and small cities, rolling countryside). Did the e-bikes which generally were not needed but a couple of days we were very happy to have them. The last day along Costa Brava was probably one of the best rides I’ve ever done in 35 years of cycling. The hotels were very nice and the hosts very friendly. But a special shoutout to Daniel who saved us on the first day during a driving cold rain. Long story but help was *very* appreciated. He always was incredibly responsive even while juggling who knows how many individual groups. This was our 8th bike vacation and this one was up at the very top.

Experiencia fantástica: Our recent "Best of Catalonia" bike tour was epic. Daniel arranged a perfect route through numerous charming, historic villages and top-notch accommodations. Each day was both challenging and relaxing, with eyefuls of beautiful countryside, stunning medieval architecture and surprising sights. The hotels he chose were a mix of old and new, with each night's accommodations more unique and luxurious than the previous. The Costa Brava coastline is just spectacular, like Northern California and St. Tropez rolled into one. And don't even get me started on the food! The wines and cuisine of Catalonia are an adventure in themselves. The restaurants La Deu in Olot and La Plaça (at the hotel of the same name) in Madremanya are worth a trip all by themselves, as is the Michelin-star dining experience at the Hotel Casamar in Llfranc. Tough to beat! I cannot recommend Creative Catalonia enough. We plan to do it again soon in some other exotic location. Thanks Daniel!

Experiencia fantástica: A excellent trip with Daniel from Creatve Catalonia riding from the foothills of the Pyrenees to the Costa Brava coast. We then road up the coast and then experienced the medieval towns around Monells before ditching the bikes and walking some highlights of the coastal camino track. Bikes and accomodation was above expectations and Daniel was easily contactable if we ran into any issues. So many highlights and beautiful sights on our trip and food and wine in the area was another highlight. Navigation was via a phone using GPS tracks which was fine when we got the hang of it. Can sometimes be a little sketchy when in areas with narrow streets and tall buildings but worked better when I downloaded the tracks to my phone with some data to help. Thankyou once again Daniel and I will be recommending this trip to my friends back home.

Experiencia fantástica: We have been fortunate to have cycled in many parts of the world and our experience with Creative Catalonia’s ‘’Medieval Villages of Catalonia’ tour was fabulous! Two thumbs way, way up!! Daniel’s upbeat personality and encouraging nature were so helpful. The bikes were of a very high quality and the gears shifted easily and quickly. The hotels that Daniel selected were so, so good and his recommendations for meals and beverage stops along the way were spot-on. The tour was self-guided and the GPS unit that we were given was easy to use and worked beautifully. We always felt that we were where we should be. Daniel checked-in on us a number of times to make sure that all was well and we always felt that he had our best interests at heart. I can enthusiastically recommend this vendor and this tour. We are hopeful to one day be able to return to beautiful Spain and take another tour offered by Creative Catalonia.

Experiencia fantástica: We spent an amazing 3 days/3 nights cycling through the girona countryside and seaside. We did the medieval villages tour and it was perfect for us (2 parents in our 50s and a 13-year old daughter). It was the right amount work, some swimming in the ocean, a little shopping in villages, gorgeous hotels and 2-hour lunches accompanied by cava. We wish had made the trip longer!

Experiencia fantástica: We just completed the Best of Catalonia Bike Tour for the second time and loved it just as much as the first time. We have done 10 bike tours in the past 7 years and this one rates as one of the best. The organization was great - Daniel, of Creative Catalonia is a warm, relaxed, friendly and extremely helpful individual. He runs a top rate tour. The variety of terrain on this tour is super - from the mountains to the Mediterranean. The hotels were great and the quality of the paths and roads was outstanding. We had such a fun time and highly recommend it to everyone!

Experiencia fantástica: Daniel and Creative Catalonia were fantastic. Biking Catalonia is fantastic. In this region of Spain we were primarily on designated bike/pedestrian trails. Sometimes they were crushed gravel and sometimes paved. But we interfaced with car traffic maybe only 15% of the time. Not really knowing what we signed up for ahead of time, the hotels booked through Creative Catalonia were in fantastic locations and nicely appointed. In general, everyone we interfaced with were friendly and helpful. Our trip came off without a hitch. Thanks Daniel!

Of the bike trips we have taken, this trip was the best organized trip we have experienced. Thank you Daniel and Lucy for all of your detailed planning. Our lodging was consistently excellent with great locations, spacious rooms, and great service. Creative Catalonia’s relationships with the hotels and restaurants always made us feel like welcomed guests.

Experiencia fantástica: Girona – Point-to-Point (Moderate), 6 days 5 nights. Exceeded all expectations, under promised and over delivered. A great way to finish 5 weeks in Spain. The routes were excellent, the accommodation provided was outstanding. Too many highlights.

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing experience from start to finish! Every part of the trip was impeccably planned and executed. Daniel put together the best itinerary and riding routes for us. The hotels were some of the best we stayed in with comfortable beds, amazing views, and the best locations. The breakfasts were all incredible, especially to fuel up for a day of riding. Our bags always showed up before we arrived and we had no issues. We would definitely book with Creative Catalonia for our next trip!

Experiencia fantástica: My husband, two daughters (ages 13 and 11), and I just completed the six-day Medieval Villages self-guided bike tour. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and it was a great introduction to bike touring for our girls. Distances each day ranged between 10 to 40 km, with some hills that were challenging but manageable, even for our younger one. The hotels were comfortable and unique. Each had access to either a beach (or beaches) or a pool, which was a great way to cool off after each day's bike ride. Daniel was very responsive throughout the planning of and during our tour. The route was primarily on a dedicated bike path with a few short sections involving roads with traffic. Thankfully, drivers in this region seem very used to cyclists on the road and I felt safe with my kids on their own bikes throughout the entire tour (that said, our kids did grow up biking around city streets and are comfortable biking alongside cars). Highly recommend to families that enjoy outdoor adventures.

Experiencia fantástica: We loved the trip! Our group included six bikers (ages from 15-60) on ebikes. We toured from Girona through villages on the Costa Brava. Routes were scenic, safe and easy — as advertised. All the bikes and GPS tech worked really well. Hotels were charming and all Creative Catalonia recommendations for lunch were excellent. A special adventure for all!

Experiencia fantástica: Marvelous tour through the best of Costa Brava. Daniel, the proprietor of Creative Catalonia, is a congenial, knowledgeable host who was always available and cheerfully helpful. Route-finding was easy with a handlebar mounted GPS system that let you know right away if you went astray on forking bike paths through forests, farmland and delightful medieval towns. We would do it again in a heartbeat. Thank you Daniel, and Lucy, for a wonderful holiday.

Experiencia fantástica: Catalonia at its best: Combined Biking & Hiking tour from Girona to the coast and back to Girona. The trip: Fantastic history and scenery. Felt very safe. Locals were friendly. Food was very good and prices off season were very reasonable. We went early in the season, so no splashing in the Mediterranean, but cooler when hiking - personal choice. Fairly arduous (we are in our 60's) - would recommend e-bikes for older riders. Suggest extra days in Barcelona and Girona. The tour operator: Provided a GPS device + map (very useful). Bikes were very good. Hotels were very good. Daniel provided the very best personal attention of any tour operator we have experienced. Recommend without hesitation.

Experiencia fantástica: We recently completed a self Guided Cycle tour From Girona, to the coast and back. Every area of the tour exceeded our expectations. The routes were almost entirely free of heavy traffic, the accommodation was terrific (This definitely exceeded ecxpectations) and the Moderate level of Riding was just right. I am not an avid cyclist, nor exceptionally fit, and managed pretty well if I do say so myself:) We loved every part of the tour. The navigation was easy, rides well thought out with some great towns to stop in along the way, and the scenery was incredible. Cannot recommend the tour enough!

Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I did the self-guided 8-day bike tour in Catalonia earlier this month, with stops in medieval villages, lovely seaside towns and stunning natural beauty. The electric assist bicycles were excellent - sturdy with quality parts and shock absorption. The GPS system worked like a charm and each hotel was excellent! We loved the fact that we stayed in two different hotels for two nights each. The infrastructure for bicycles in this region is also top notch. The converted railway path was awesome. We highly recommend Creative Catalonia for your next adventure.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I have completed 6 European Bike rides. The bike tour Dan created entitled Medieval Villages Cycling Tour from Girona was definitely one of our favorites.. First of all, the scenery was beautiful. Girona was a great place to begin. This Medieval City is picturesque and just happened to have been a filming site for the Game of Thrones. The Costa Brava definitely is a picturesque coast. Secondly, all of the Hotels were accommodating to bike riders and quite comfortable. Not only were they comfortable but they felt safe during this time of pandemic concerns. Each hotel had something remarkable from a Michelin Star restaurant to a nearby Mediterranean beach or a swimming pool onsite which was near a fruit bearing fig tree. The figs from this tree were to be found on the breakfast buffet. In addition to all of this, the hotel in Girona has busts of famous people in the lobby as well as a Dali room. Also, it was the home of Saint Naricisus. I highly recommend this tour.
