The Brightside Travel

Experiencia negativa: Inadequate information during booking process and complete unwillingness to accommodate safety for children during transfers. We made a reservation through The Brightside Travel for a transfer from LPA to our hotel in Playa del Inglés, for 8 people where 3 are children; 6, 4 and 1&1/2 years old. During the booking you fill in number of adults, number of children and the age of respective child. As an afterthought we contacted the company's customs service two days before our arrival to add children's carseats for the children (one full carseat and two cushions), since this option was nowhere to be found in the booking process(!) but were told that it may be "too late" to arrange for such a day and a half before our arrival(?) On the day of our arrival, the 27th of December we received the following message from The Brightside Travel: "Good morning, We have contacted the transport company and they have informed us that you will be provided with a minibus and therefore it is not possible to add seats for children. Children must be seated next to an adult and the baby between the legs." Interpreting above text as it is not possible to add children's carseats to a minibus, which was never mentioned during the booking or during contact with customs service, we called in the morning before our flight departed from Sweden (app 7 hours before the transfer was scheduled) and where told we would get our money back. We eventually arranged for airport transfer through another company, and we were driven in a minibus with children car seats; one full child carseat for our 1&1/2 year old, as well as two cushions for the 4 and 6 years old. On top of this our transfer was booked approximately 3 hours in advance. This proving that it is indeed not only very much possible to put children's carseats in minibuses, on Gran Canaria just like in Sweden, but you can in fact arrange this within the same day of the actual transfer. We also asked several taxi drivers during our stay on Gran Canaria, and having a toddler between an adult's legs is not allowed. They should be in a carseat. We never received a refund, and The Brightside Travel claim it was only due to us being "too late" to add children's carseats, not the fact that they cannot provide them in minibuses (as mentioned in the received message), and as they do not refund reservations they "advise you of this; on our side we could not do much more". This I imagine is a principle of willingness and as it has to do with the safety of children I find it completely appalling. Avoid.

Experiencia negativa: Société vraiment pas sérieuse !!!! Le chauffeur ne s'est pas pointé au rendez-vous, j'ai appelé leur assistance qui m'a dit qu'aucun chauffeur n'était disponible pour venir nous récupérer et que je devais prendre un taxi. L'assistance m'a dit de faire un mail pour que je sois remboursée, chose que j'ai faite. Depuis ils refusent de me rembourser malgré toutes les preuves que je leur donne (screenshot des appels téléphoniques, factures du taxi). Ces des escrocs je vous déconseille cette société et j'entame une procédure judiciaire contre eux.
