Experiencia fantástica: Following in the footsteps of the pros... Erik at Basque Experiences did a fantastic job of organising a 3-day point to point cycling trip, with van support, for myself and 7 of my friends. Starting in Gernika and ending in Pamplona, taking in San Sebastien and Elizondo, plus the stunning local scenery en route - we had a fantastic experience and couldn't fault the host (Erik), the organisation or the itinerary. Being a mixed group the routes did a great job of appealing to the more seasoned riders amongst us, as well as the less experienced. We also had a brilliant time visiting and sampling the local hospitality in each of the places we stayed, so good times were had both on and off the bike. Next years trip already being planned! Chapeau!

Experiencia fantástica: My work colleagues and I planned a one day trip to San Sebastian. We struggled a bit to find a vehicle as we were more than the allowed number of persons for the taxi. However, Erik from Basque Experiences was able to arrange a VERY comfortable bus for. He was immensely patient with our planning and helped fir the trip in between our busy schedule and even suggested trip ideas for no extra cost. Since we had to book everything remotely, Erik's prompt responses and explanation proved to be very helpful. We had a wonderful time in San Sebastian - the perfect mix of learning some cultural history thanks to our guide Pedro and some leisurely time to ourselves. It is safe to say our team would definitely recommend them again if you're looking for a service that covers everything from pick-ups, drop-offs, and a guide; all encompassed with a memorable trip :)

Experiencia fantástica: An amazing week in the beautiful Basque country hosted by Erik from Basque Experiences who knew all the best places to go that you would never find without a clued up local. First 3 days were cycling with 7 other friends with fantastic support and organisation from Erik then 3 days recovering in Bilbao. I can't recommend Basque Experiences highly enough and will definitely use them again.

Experiencia fantástica: Last week, I along with 7 friends had the opportunity to share the rich food traditions and cycle amongst the most stunning views of the Basque Region. We are truly indebted to Erik Sadler of Basque Experiences, who organised virtually every minute detail of our 4 day stay. From organising bespoke bikes, hotels, cycle routes, cafes and restaurants, the whole trip was a complete success from start to finish. On our first night in Guernica, Erik organised a delicious traditional Basque meal in a workers community club, where we had the chance to watch the local chef cook in the kitchen. The first cycle was a challenging but ultimately rewarding one to San Sebastián. This was then followed by a huge steak at a Cyder House, and a little tuition on how to catch the cyder from a barrel. We then had a stunning cycle to a beautiful small town of Elizondo, and followed by an amazing 3 course feast. Our final cycle involved a cat 1 18km climb, which I decided to experience from the safety net of the van, driven by the ever reliable Erik. We finished up in Pamplona for en even more epic drink or 3, which was richly deserved. I can’t thank Erik enough for his hospitality, passion and patience. I really can’t recommend Basque experiences highly enough, as it really is just that.
